Katana says:
just a few hints.
-the LWB patrol's had better balance than the shorties. but the SWB's are cheaper.
-and if your gonna do an engine switch, make sure you switch the trans as well, as the 3.0 petrols and the 2.8 turbo diesels had a tranny from the 300ZX (from memory) and in Patrol form these don't like too much more power than stock.
-the stock springs and shocks are very soft from the factory, but the roll bars are fairly stiff, but there is still a lot of body roll. when loaded up the suspension would sink right down, and the suspension usually wore out fairly quickly, but most springs and shocks would have been changed by now. if it isnt, get slightly stiffer springs and shocks, and if you want to take full advantage of the suprisingly decent handling, put on stiffer anti sway bars. but if your patrol has a sway bar disconnect, do not remove unless neccessary, with the sways disconnected, the patrols can get some insane suspension flex. but i have no idea if this is an offroad car.
