That is a 1938 Phantom corsair, butt ugly if you ask me, but pretty impressive for its time,
You got it!
Like the Tucker it was way ahead of it's time. It had a 289 V8 that developed 190hp and would reach 120mph. Remember this was 1938. The front headlights were super-trick headlights. The filament is almost at the back of a deep dish that creates a focus at the front lens comparable to todays beam halogens. Although you can light a cigarette near the top of these babies where most of the high beam is concentrated!
Developed by Rust Heinz, the son of H.J. Heinz of "57 Varieties" fame.
